ADAMS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAM
BEGINS ANOTHER YEAR
|
Trinity Parish, along with St. Matthew’s Lutheran, Cargill Methodist, and First Lutheran congregations will once again be responsible for the Adams Elementary School Breakfast Program for the 2006-‘07 school year beginning in September. Trinity’s volunteers are supplemented by members of the Blackhawk Golden Kiwanis Club and other friends. Volunteers prepare and serve breakfast at school. They arrive at school between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and are finished by 8:30 a.m. Trinity is responsible for the purchase and delivery of groceries to the school used by all the participating churches. Last year, over 12,000 students were fed breakfast. Additional workers are always welcome; as well as financial support from the parish members. Donations of dry cereals, peanut butter and jams and jellies are also needed. This program receives no support from the school district or the state or Federal governments. It is intended for students who qualify for free or reduced lunches and those whose parents must leave for work early in the morning before school begins. This year’s schedule for Trinity is as follows:
Feb. 19, 20 & 21 For further information, please contact Bill Roessler at 754-7884. |
